i think my brother and i have been permenently damaged on account of the fact that we have never had pets. like, i think i’d be happier, healthier, and just a nicer person if i had grown up with a dog in my life. it’s something everyone should have in their lives, the companionship of an animal. i feel bad because my brother really likes cats, and he can’t have one because his apartment doesn’t allow pets. all his friends have cats. but he doesn’t. i think he’s like me, he gets lonely, and a cat would really help. but he can’t. and i can’t have a dog, because i live in a dorm.
